Living As A King and Priest

Here we are.  At the end of 8 months of work in the Living Life God’s Way group study.

For many in our community – those who have dared to do the work, yield to the commitment, dared to be transparent and allow the Holy Spirit to do His work in our lives, we will never be the same again.

  • Were you one of those many who listened to the audio 5,6,7 times per month?
  • Were you one of those many who reached out to somebody and asked them to walk alongside of you in transparency and growth?
  • Were you one of those many who did the work.  Over and over again?
  • Were you one of those who started their own personal Strategic Life Journal?
  • If so, well done!  If not, maybe it’s time to ask yourself before the Lord, why?
Reading back through my notes over the past 2 decades of doing LLGW, what struck me then, which still strikes today, are these following statements/questions from Dennis at a conference, many years ago, after going through LLGW for the first time.   I thought they may be helpful for all of us, whether we are feeling on track with where Father has taken us this year, or are feeling perhaps, we have missed an opportunity to grow and commune with Father, both personally and corporately.
“Those who own truth will mobilize a thousand.”

“Who ‘is’ the message (not just carries the message)?”

“Are ‘you’ the message?”

“Of all of this which you have heard over the last year, what do you own?”

“Only people who have been totally ruined by a message (good/bad) own it.”

“What truth in you stands the test of microscopic evaluation?”

“What is truly incarnated (not just intellectually) in you?”

“To become truth, is very expensive?  Have you paid the price?”

“How much predictability do you own in the Word?”

“How many of your actions and interactions with people are predictable based on scripture rather than being based on your flesh?”

“Whatever we own in faith and scripture and by turn, our actions, is owned by God in me.”

“Whatever we own in our flesh (fallen nature) is owned by the kingdom of darkness.”

“What you know and own is what you are truly accountable for.”

“Knowing any concept intellectually is of little to no use, if we haven’t incarnated this truth in our life.”

“Wake me up Lord when I lose you today.  Even when I am doing your work!”

These questions plague me today, even more than they did 20 years ago.  The reality of the truth of these questions weighs heavily on my spirit.  For I know the truth that is in them.  I see the truth manifest in my life and others whom I love, and I rejoice and praise God.  I see where the truth is not yet incarnate in my life and others whom I love, and I weep. Let us sit in these questions leading up to our book study calls this Saturday. Let us truly take the time to let them sit in us deeply and honestly.  Let us finish well.

All of us.  Even if you haven’t done all that you could have with LLGW so far this year – this year,  this month, this week, today, is not yet over and it is never too late to start!  It is never too late to ask the Holy Spirit to lead us into His Kingdom and to do the work with Him.
I am personally adding these questions and statements to my own SLJ check-ins and I would encourage you to do the same. Then get with your spiritual partner whom you check in with, and go through them together – get some feedback and sit before the Holy Spirit and ask Him to show you His plan forward for you.

I will leave it here today beloved brothers and sisters in Christ.  I hope and pray you really do sit with these questions and statements from our beloved Dennis.  What Kingdom gold they are.
